BE A WINNER ON CONTESTS

On early September, Shanker (owner of shankerbakshi dot com) sent me good news that I am being one of his winners on his contest. I won Text Link Ad for a month (already running now) on BloggingFromScratch dot com (worth $10). I also won some EC from entrecard dot com and joetech dot com many times as my result as contests participant. Note that I’d like and looking for to win some cash right now ;-) It’s always on a great feeling when I knew that I won the contest. Even it is not my first time won on contests but I always enjoy celebrates it. You may tell that I am not only a beginner’s luck but also an always luck LoL.

Since hold a contest is being a great way to build your traffic, many bloggers and webmasters try to hold a contest right now. Usually the participants who want to enter the contest need to rewrite or post about it on their blogs. They must include all of contest contributor and also link back to the contest. Contest holders also give them additional entries to the contest if they subscribe by email. Just simple ways, right

John Cow on his tips said that holding a contest will be a great way to communicate with your readers and also will increase your popularity But, before you start to hold a contest please make it sure that you already have good privacy policy and terms of use on your site/blog. It also put about purchases agreement if you sell sponsor ads for it. These “weapons” will avoid you from potential illegal action such as collecting personal information from anyone under 18 years old. If your contests also targeted below the age of 18, you must clearly understand about “Children’s Online Privacy Act” or COPA. If you don’t understand please consult with your lawyer to avoid illegal action when you launch your contests.
He also notes that you not just copy and paste the materials about it on their site. Some sites purchased documents and then will be protected by law or copyright protected. If you need to grab your documents for free, there are free options available on internet. Just type “free terms of use template” or “free privacy policy template” and you will found a lot of it. After all, have you found yourself protected before start contests?
